    That Gizmodo link was really disappointing. Honestly, has this guy never heard of the Simon-Ehrlich wager?

    I’m sure this sort of thing goes over well with the crunchy-granola Big Blue Marble crowd, but those of us who value fact over feelings have been told the sky is falling for so long now that we don’t really find it cute any more.

    My consolation is that the commentariat over there seems to be taking him to the woodshed. Still, it’s sad that so few writers and editors have even the barest understanding of economics.
