    1) I love the short story, as a form. As a big sci-fi nerd, I love those stories that evoke and imply, leaving the reader to fill in all the details. I also love an author who can use a few words to make a powerful suggestion, or ask a powerful question, far more than authors who prefer to beat their ideas to death over a thousand pages.

    2) I was led to believe that digging into the Obamas’ religious connections was poor form. Guess that’s out the window now that he’s been elected.
